Newsflash: Summer is right around the corner. And while we’re mostly excited, we have a lot to do before then – like get our beach bodies in order. That’s where our health pact comes in. You’ve likely heard these simple tips before, but we’re breaking them down further, so you can reap the benefits way beyond summer.
Work Out
It’s no news that a little exercise goes a long way. Set mini milestones to get you there – like running a Memorial Day 5K with a group of your friends. First-timer? Don’t sweat it. Just start small with an incremental running plan.
Eat Better
Also no surprises here. But this doesn’t mean your dinners have to be boring or tedious. Have fun with meal prep by signing up for a meal kit delivery service, like Sun Basket. That way, fresh, organic, non-GMO ingredients and recipes are right at your fingertips, so you can make dishes like Coriander-Crusted Tuna Niçoise and Seared Salmon Tacos. How easy is that?
Stock Up on SPF
When it comes to skincare, damage prevention is key. You should be applying sunscreen daily year-round (yes, even on cloudy days), but it’s even more important in the summer. Stock up on moisturizers and beauty products with an SPF of at least 25. (Your skin will thank you.)
Clear Your Closet
It may be well into spring, but it’s never too late for a little “clean closet, clear mind” mantra. Assess your situation, then weed out and donate what you don’t need or use. You’ll receive feel-good benefits from giving to charities in need, while also decluttering – and making room for new beach cover-ups.
