Continuing with my Memorial Day weekend prep, I wanted to share a fun bar cart display that I prepared for my girlfriends last week that would make for the perfect Memorial Day bar cart. Nothing to do with the whole “Memorial Day” theme, but rather the “let’s hang at the pool and drink delicious cocktails” theme (in case you were confused!). So bright and fun for guests, and seriously so simple to assemble, this bar cart is a “do” even if you are headed out of town and need to assemble your spread on a side table. All you need is a drink pitcher, acrylic glassware, this cocktail, fruit for decor, and sour gummy candy.

To create my display, I started by filling my Frontgate drink dispenser with a sparkling lemonade cocktail. Because this is meant to be served poolside, I highly recommend all plastic and acrylic glassware. I scored these plastic champagne flutes in-store at Target. The real treat though (and what makes your drinks pop!) is a sour watermelon candy that I placed on the rim of each glass.

The bottom level of my cart is more for display… I stacked pink lemonades by RIEME (from TJ Maxx or Homegoods) and San Pellegrino alongside acrylic glasses and fruit.

In the summertime, I am all about creating large fruit displays on my bar carts, buffets, and dessert table, because they instantly bring tons of color and height to your display on a great budget. Again, this is great trip for you travelers, because you can just pick these up on your grocery run. A large watermelon, a pineapple, or even a bowl of lemons do just the trick.

Then the last item, which is always necessary for a holiday weekend, is something sweet. I took plain vanilla cupcakes and topped with more sour watermelons to tie the whole look together. Cheers to a fun day poolside!
