Morocco is a fitting place for Mara Hoffman, a designer who tends to favor bold patterns, vibrant colors, and rich texture. After spending a week in Marrakesh shooting her Resort 2016 Collection, Mara shared her favorite local spots with Vogue, including where she looks for inspiration:
“Visiting Jardin Majorelle, a botanical garden and artist’s landscape garden once owned by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, is awe-inspiring. It inspired a large portion of my Resort Swim ’16 Collection. I fell in love with all the cacti and tiles throughout the grounds. The rich history of the garden along with its various color palettes will never cease to amaze me.”
