You’ve booked your flight, outlined your itinerary, and are ready to check in to the trip of a lifetime. But first: Packing. Take a few minutes to plan your off-duty wardrobe so you can travel first-class (even if you’re stuck in economy) and arrive in style. We’ve asked our men’s buyer, Michael B., to share his top tips for out-of-office dressing, from the airport to your destination. Bonus points if you can fit it all in your carry-on.

1. Plan for Security Lines
“Loafers are the perfect shoe to travel in – they go with everything. Ditch anything with laces, it takes too much time at the airport.”
2. Mix & Match
“When traveling, think about items that can be worn multiple ways, like a blazer you can dress down with jeans and dress up with a tie. It’s all about maximizing every square inch of your suitcase.”
3. Keep It Classic
“Go simple with solid colors. No matter what your destination, you will never be out of place with a crisp white or light blue woven shirt.”
