Jennifer Lopez is currently promoting her new film Hustlers, all while planning a wedding with her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez. But that doesn’t mean the 50-year-old singer is too busy to take the stage at Super Bowl LIV.
J.Lo is reportedly in talks to headline the halftime show during the 2020 football game, according to Us Weekly. While fans have been petitioning for Lopez to perform at the Super Bowl for quite some time, the singer’s schedule was far too crammed to make it work.
However, there is one major factor that would make the upcoming game an ideal scenario for the “On the Floor” singer: Super Bowl LIV will take place at Hard Rock Stadium, which is located in Miami.
The beach city holds a special place in J.Lo’s heart—not only did she previously own waterfront property in the Florida town, but it’s also where her fiancé grew up. Miami Beach even declared July 24 as Jennifer Lopez Day in honor of her 50th birthday this year. (NBD.)
Unfortunately, J.Lo. hasn’t confirmed whether she’ll take the stage at Super Bowl LIV, but she did address the rumors during a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. When asked about her potential halftime show performance, Lopez played coy, saying, “I don’t know! I know everybody’s asking me. They’re starting to think that I’m telling people things—I’m not! I don’t know anything yet.”
The good news is she admitted that it’s something she’s always wanted to do. “It’s something that we’ve talked about for many years and it would be nice,” the singer added. “I can’t say I wouldn’t love it.”
