Do Women Dress for Men or for Women? Vogue Weighs In

The Rue Boston office feels like it’s about 70% women, 69% of which are supermodel stylish. Leopard. Booties. Leather leggings. You’ll see it all – in spades. And, I have to say, it has zero reason to do with the men (dapper as they may be) who grace our cubes.

VOGUE: Do women dress for men? Or for women?

So what does it have to do with? Some would say our female coworkers, but it’s certainly up for debate.

This week, Vogue chatted with Justin O’Shea and his girlfriend, Veronika Heilbrunner – the buying and fashion directors for the luxury e-boutique – regarding the age-old question: do women dress for men, or simply themselves?
