This ’60s-Inspired Makeup Trend Makes Your Eyes Look Way Bigger

In our dreams, we have big, beautiful, doll-like eyes. In reality, however, we’re working with a set of eyes that are a touch more, for lack of a better word, beady. Enter one of spring’s biggest beauty trends that also happens to be made for us: ’60s-inspired lashes.

As seen at Prada, doll-like lashes are back with a vengeance, and they’re so flattering.

While the goal of a cat eye is to elongate your eyes horizontally, this trend is all about creating the illusion of a round, doe-like shape.

Twiggy-inspired eye makeup can be achieved in a few different ways depending on how big you want to go. For a subtler take on the look, apply a few coats of mascara to your lower lashes, then separate them—carefully—with a lash comb. You could also try faux lower lashes or, for a more graphic and dramatic look, paint on your lower lashes with a gel pen liner.

To make your peepers look even bigger, fill in your waterline with a white eye pencil, which will brighten up the overall vibe.

Groovy, baby.
