The 9 Most Instagrammable Spots in Massachusetts’s Beach Towns

As an East Coast–based company, we may be biased, but the beachside towns here are some of the most picture-perfect. The colonial homes on hydrangea-covered streets. The kitschy lobster shacks. The lighthouse-spotted coastlines. Everywhere you look is a photo op waiting to happen. So whether you’re a preppy local or an out-of-town blogger, save these nine locations for your next photo shoot.

The Famous American Flag House

Where: Provincetown, MA

This must-see home is surely one of the most photographed spots in P-Town – but it’s tricky to find. Head down Commercial Street, toward Captain Jack’s Wharf, and you’ll find it tucked away on your left. Talk about a seriously hidden gem.

The Shell Shop

Where: Provincetown, MA

Looking to grab a souvenir? The Shell Shop has everything you could ever need (including a pink door dying to be photographed). P.S.: This cute spot shares a wall with Cabot’s Candy. We highly recommend their saltwater taffy!

BŌL Superfood Café

Where: Wellfleet, MA

Açai bowls and matcha lattes are a staple at this Cape Cod hot spot. Come hungry and with a charged phone, because you’ll want to photograph (and eat) everything on the menu.

Hotel Pippa

Where: Nantucket, MA

Taking the ferry to Nantucket is a must when visiting the Cape. And Hotel Pippa is one of our most-loved places to stay, thanks to its stunning exterior and interior. Capture endless photos while stopping to smell the hydrangeas.

The Lobster Pot

Where: Provincetown, MA

Talk about a trip back in time, right? Between the neon signs and the walk-up window, this P-Town staple is a true Instagrammable destination.

Chatham Bars Inn

Where: Chatham, MA

Is there anything more New England than blue and white stripes? This nautical seaside destination is an ideal spot for snapping photos and sipping Cape Codders (that’s a vodka cranberry, FYI). Don’t forget your basket bag and designer shades.

Gingerbread Cottage Village

Where: Martha’s Vineyard, MA

If you think this pink house is cute, imagine rows upon rows of homes just like it. Because that’s what the Gingerbread Cottage Village is. Visit in August for the Grand Illumination Festival, when each of these cottages are decorated with thousands of Japanese and Chinese lanterns.

Coast Guard Beach

Where: Eastham, MA

Miles and miles of sandy shore make up this iconic beach. Pack a little picnic and your cutest bikini for a quintessential New England summer day.

Brant Point Lighthouse

Where: Nantucket, MA

This decades-old lighthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. Its boardwalk and ocean view create an unbeatable, picturesque backdrop that just screams “New England.”
