It’s a Style Showdown! These 2 Trends Are Up for Debate

New York Fashion Week might be coming to a close, but our obsession with fresh-off-the-runway style has just begun. Our office, however, is a little divided on two equally ethereal looks: Rodarte’s gothic fairy vibes vs. Altuzarra’s gypsy spirits. So we had our fashion director Loredana and our fashion editor Elizabeth sound off on why they think each look is king. Which team are you on?

Loredana’s Pick: Rodarte’s Gothic Fairies

“Rodarte’s ode to dark fairy-tale princesses was a stunning presentation of lace, tulle, and embroidery. I loved how even with its dark overtones, nothing felt heavy – the fabric was lightweight and airy, as if the model was floating in the dress.”

Elizabeth’s Pick: Altuzarra’s Gypsies

“A mix of rich colors and textures evoked a gypsy spirit at the show. My favorite look focused on a nipped-in waist and handkerchief hem with bold silver sequins. Cue the wanderlust.”
