Rue How-To: Write A Thank You Note

When it comes to thank you notes, there are three big guidelines: be authentic, be specific, and be warm. (I’m assuming you already know to be timely.) Take a peek at my go-to examples, and check out a few tips below.

1)  When you get a wedding invitation, it’s so nice to discard the formal RSVP card if there is one and write a warm, personal note to whoever invited you.

2) When writing a thank you to a close friend, lose the formality and be yourself.

3) Some notes are hard – especially when you barely know the person! Don’t fake a bigger connection, just look for ways to be sincerely gracious.
