How to Wear Pink Eye Shadow

Fashionista | Stephanie Saltzman

Pink eye makeup is one of those unexpected shades that can be so alluring and intriguing when you get it right. It’s a stepped-up version of a neutral, and it can be flattering on just about any skin tone.

But not every pink eye shadow look is going to be the most wearable. Pink is a tricky color because, when it’s around the eye area, it’s often associated with lack of sleep, inflammation and, well, pink eye. Gross. But this easy makeup tutorial from Kathleen Lights steers clear of any of those negative associations. Instead, it’s romantic, soft, shimmery, and straight-up pretty. Even better, it’s insanely easy to replicate on your own.

In the video, the blogger breaks down her entire process – as well as her go-to products for creating the look, many of which are less expensive dupes for prestige makeup brands – and explains that she loves this look because “it’s so romantic and pretty [and] ethereal.”
