NYFW: Men’s Was All About the Details

Think suiting is boring? Think again. New York Fashion Week: Men’s was full of new ideas, but there were a few labels in particular that stole the show. Below, we tapped our Men’s buyer, Michael B., for three standout collections to look forward to come fall.

The designer showed how we can make suiting fun with his intergalactic-inspired collection, heavy with metallics and prints. Our fave science guy, Bill Nye, was even a model for the collection.

His Fall 2017 showing was focused on evening wear with a rock ‘n’ roll twist. It included a tartan suit with a velvet bow tie and a rebellious bubblegum-pink tux that was part edgy and part 70s.

Joseph Abboud

Celebrating his 30th anniversary in fashion, the traditional menswear designer had an Edgar Allan Poe moment. The American Gothic–themed collection was full of dark and mysterious velvet, fur lapels, and leather-detailed knits.
