Meghan Markle Always Does These 5 Things & No One Has Noticed

With the royal wedding over, we can’t help but wonder about how Meghan Markle will make her first appearance as the Duchess of Sussex. Obviously, the former Suits actress is beautiful. No arguing there. But we’re still dying to know every detail on her hair, lipstick, eye shadow, paparazzi-proof primer… the wish list goes on and on.

“Even now, her look has stayed the same,” Lydia F. Sellers, her former hairstylist and makeup artist, says. “She’ll throw her hair back in a low bun and it actually looks like she’s done it herself, and it’s beautiful and chic because she’s so confident. That’s the great thing about Meghan – she’s so confident with herself and her look, and she sticks with that.” She sticks with it so much that we’ve peeped some of her go-to beauty techniques – and we’re spilling them for you, ahead.

1. Lots of Lashes

Not that we need another reason to gaze at the gorgeous bride, but her lashes are always fringed to perfection. Markle told Beautybanter that she preps hers with the Shu Uemura eyelash curler “because it makes you look instantly awake.”

As for her favorite mascara? Diorshow Iconic, according to Allure.

2. Middle Part with Tendrils

… and she brought the look back at the reception for Women’s Empowerment at the Royal Aeronautical Society in central London in April.

Markle once credited the Kérastase Oleo Relax line for her shiny, healthy head of hair, which Sellers also used on her (along with a few other heavy hitters). “I start with Oribe’s volumizing spray to prep her hair, just to give it that boost,” she says. “The Kérastase relax treatment helps keep everything smooth, but Kevin Murphy also has a great smoothing cream I’ll use… She always came [to the appointment] with dry hair, so we would just mist it with water and restyle it.”

3. Glowy Skin with Visible Freckles

Maybe it’s a matter of genetics, but Markle’s skin always looks flawless, without looking filtered. “Every time I’d do her makeup, she’d say, ‘Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don’t want a ton of foundation,'” Sellers tells us. “It was more about the amount of product that went on her skin and keeping it really fresh and dewy, rather than caking it on. So I’d use the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation with a Beautyblender because it’s really easy to sheer out.”

Call us immature, but we can’t help but giggle at the fact that a royal will likely bring a naughtily named blush in her makeup bag soon. She once told Beautybanter that she can’t live without NARS’ Orgasm, the “perfect rosy flush tone that brightens the face.”

4. Side Part Underneath Her Hat

Royal hats are already elaborate. Markle ups the ante by parting her long brunette hair to the side, giving her fascinators a proper canvas…

5. Glossy Lips

According to People, Meghan Markle loves Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Very Victoria, a rosy nude – and at press appearances, would wear a dead ringer for the shade on nearly every carpet. These days, she adds a little bit of shine atop her lips… and manages to avoid her blowout from sticking to them. Royalty, indeed.

She rocked a deeper coral shade – to go with her tan – back in 2013… and we really hope to see this recreated at a post-wedding engagement one day soon.
