Karl Lagerfeld Turns Interior Designer for Florida Real Estate Project

Seriously, what can't Karl do? From haute couture to ready-to-wear to bridal jewelry and even art kits, it's clear he's considered the authority on all things aesthetically pleasing. I'd book a trip to Miami just to see his first interior design accomplishment.

Karl Lagerfeld has reportedly landed a new interior design job for Miami’s new Estates at Acqualina residential project. The fashion mogul will design the lobby areas in the two 50-story condo towers, WWD reports, drawing inspiration from the state of Florida.

“I am not an architect and I am not an interior designer in a real professional sense,” Lagerfeld told the site. “But it is a challenge to experiment with different big volumes.”

The project is slated to open in Miami in 2020. It follows another interior design project for the designer in Toronto, where he is creating lobby spaces for Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos, set to open in 2019 or 2020.
