Love it or hate it, athleisure isn’t going anywhere. It’s been a mainstay on runways for the past few seasons, and this year was no exception. For spring, we’re seeing a modern update with streamlined yet sexy designs that mean more time at the bar and less time at the gym. Below, we’re showing how to take three key items from catwalk to sidewalk.

The Trend: Track Pants
Seen At: Versace
How to Wear Them: Treat them like smart tailoring. Look for a tapered pair made from silk crepe de chine. A white side stripe lends that old-school feel. Swap a coordinating jacket in favor of a crisp white button-down. Unzip the cuffs so they slouch over pumps, or complement a longer length with platform sneakers.

The Trend: The Sporty Sheath
Seen At: BOSS
How to Wear It: Even fancy dresses can work with laid-back shoes. This dress may seem too sultry to wear with slides, but the simple styling and primary-color combination keeps it casual. If vibrant hues aren’t your thing, try playing with monochromatic patterns and a pop of color instead.

The Trend: Paper-Bag-Waist Pants
Seen At: Sportmax
How to Wear Them: A billowy wide-leg silhouette doesn’t have to be shapeless. Just go for a pair with a sporty drawstring that cinches at the high-rise waist. Echo the understated runway aesthetic with a crop top or tucked-in tee (bonus points for monochrome). Then finish with a relaxed jacket thrown over the shoulders.
