How Meghan Markle’s First Royal Tour Compares to Princess Diana’s

After a whirlwind 16 days full of countless appearances (well, 76 to be exact!), adorable PDA moments and endless maternity outfits, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first Australian royal tour has officially come to an end. The couple’s adventures in Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji provided endless entertainment for fans all over the world — just like another famous royal once did.

Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, visited the land Down Under in 1983 along with her husband at the time, Prince Charles, for her first tour as a member of the royal family. While 35 years may have passed since Princess Diana embarked on her own Australian royal, not much has really changed.

Here’s how Princess Di’s tour compares to Meghan’s.
