How to Use Green Makeup to Mask Blotchy, Red Skin

PureWow

That red zone on your skin: It doesn’t matter if it’s from an unwanted pimple, a spot of rosacea, or a bit too much time in the sun – you want it gone. Instead of piling on more and more foundation to cover the problem, you might want to try a green-tinted color corrector. Don’t worry, you won’t end up looking like a Christmas card.

Why it works: Red and green are opposite one another on the color wheel, which means they cancel each other out when combined. Applying a green color corrector over a red acne scar balances the two colors, giving your skin a more natural tone.

How to apply it: In this instance, a little goes a long way, so use your fingers to lightly pat the color corrector over the areas you want neutralized. Then brush on your usual concealer or foundation, and you are good to go.
