Here at Rue, giving back to our community – and the communities of our Members – is extremely important to us. This year, we’re joining in on the global movement of #GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to empowering people to give back. And we’d love it if you joined us in pausing to reflect on what it truly means to give during this holiday season. Since its inception, this day has brought 30,000 partners in 68 countries together and a more than 400% increase in online donations – and we hope to help exceed those numbers this year. To do so, we’ve teamed up with four charities to donate a minimum of $10,000 to each of their causes.
Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)
This cause is near and dear to our hearts, especially after teaming up with cancer survivor Elisha Daniels this past October. Founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, BCRF is the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. And BCRF-funded investigators have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and metastasis. Dress for Success®
Clothing is so much more than style. So we’re striving to help Dress for Success® in its mission to empower women by helping them achieve economic independence. By providing a network of support and professional attire, this nonprofit helps women thrive in both their workplaces and their lives. Donate or volunteer here.
Toys for Tots
With the holiday season right around the corner, we couldn’t think of a better organization to team up with. Run by the U.S. Marine Corps, this national program collects donations in the form of toys – from books and dolls to baseballs – to provide disadvantaged children with a joyful and memorable holiday. Habitat for Humanity
The cold weather is approaching, so it’s more important than ever to support those in need of shelter. Habitat for Humanity strives to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. In doing so, this nonprofit empowers low-income families through home ownership. Donate or get involved here.
