Fashionable Hostess I Amanda S. Gluck
This cocktail is incredibly simple, being primarily rosé champagne and a splash of St. Germain (elderflower liqueur), which makes it just a bit sweeter. Pink, a hint of sweetness, and bubbly: That’s pretty much checks across the board! But what really makes it Valentine’s-worthy is the way in which I prepared it.
Before filling my glasses with the champagne, I dipped the flute rims in a shallow dish of agave, followed by a shallow dish of gold sugar to create a gold-sugared rim. I let them dry for a minimum of ten minutes before then moving on to filling the glasses. After filling my cocktails, I took out Sugarfina candy lips and stuck toothpicks through the middle, so I could lay them across the top. Next I took XO hangtags and tied one at the bottom of each glass. The finishing touch was displaying mini bottles of Chandon rosé alongside the cocktails so everyone could help themselves to a top-off. Seriously in love with the girly finished product! Cheers!
