Easy Sparkling Lemonade, Achieved

No other drink says summer the way lemonade does. And we can already picture long, lazy days on the porch pouring glass after glass of this sparkling mocktail from The Chic Life. The best thing about it (other than the refreshing taste)? It’s super easy to make. Here’s how.

EASY SPARKLING LEMONADE

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Juice of 5 – 6 small lemons
2 1-liter bottles sparkling water (like Pellegrino)
1 lemon, sliced thin (optional, for garnish)
Mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Start with the simple syrup. Combine and stir the sugar and water in a medium-sized pot and turn stove to medium heat. Bring to a boil.
2. Lower heat to simmer and cook for ten minutes. Let cool 30 minutes to one hour in the pot.
3. In a pitcher, combine fresh-squeezed lemon juice, sparkling water, and the simple syrup. Add lemon slices, and chill the pitcher in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
4. Serve with a lemon slice in each glass. Pop in a sprig of mint for extra garnish, color, and flavor.
