Need help deciding what to ask for this year? We have you covered. Grown-ups make wish lists, too, and our Curators are no exceptions. But instead of writing letters to Santa, they strategically drop subtle hints to friends and family. Here, find out which gifts top their lists, both past and present (and maybe steal a little inspo for yourself).

What is the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?
The first-ever gift from my boyfriend, three years ago: a little gold horseshoe charm. It wasn’t expensive or flashy, but it symbolized how lucky we were to have met. That meant everything.
What are you most hoping to find under the tree this year?
A new car! But on a serious note, I want thoughtful gifts from the people I love, and for them to love what I get them.
Alexandra, Styling Director
What is the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?
My father gave me one of his old watches from the 80s. It works with everything, and I wear it all the time.
What are you most hoping to find under the tree this year?
Tickets for a trip to a remote island (someone, please!).

What is the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?
Warning: This is about to get mushy. Last year, my now-fiancé surprised me with round-trip tickets to Europe. On its own, that was an epic gift – then while we were abroad, he proposed! Needless to say, that takes the prize for most memorable.
What are you most hoping to find under the tree this year?
I am in desperate need of a new hat. I know, I know – such a grandma gift. But with rich cashmere and a furry pom, I’ll be grateful for it from now through March.
John, Creative Director
What is the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?
Two little wooden duck decoys that my dad carved for me on my third Christmas. I still have them, even though the paint is all chipped off and one is missing a bill. I think about him every time I see them on the bookshelf.
What are you most hoping to find under the tree this year?
A “MORE TIME” gift card that I can spend on my hubby, friends, and family.
