Pride. It’s something we’re passionate about at Rue La La – and we’re excited to announce that we’ve been working on something special for you. We’ve teamed up with the leading national education organization, GLSEN, to bring you an exclusive-to-Rue tee. The best part is that 100% of net sales of the shirt will be donated to GLSEN, whose mission is to create safe and inclusive K–12 schools for all students regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We’re proud to stand by GLSEN in their efforts to make LGBTQ+ youth feel included, respected, and safe in their classrooms. Here, we’re rounding up three ways you can support Pride.
Volunteer Your Time
Donating money is always appreciated, but sometimes donating your time is an even more impactful way to get involved. Whether you’re volunteering at a local LGBTQ+ organization or helping set up for Pride events in your city, you’ll connect with fellow allies or members of the LGBTQ+ community. Speak Up
Whether you’re an ally or part of the LGBTQ+ community yourself, we cannot stress the importance of speaking up. We partnered with GLSEN because of their mission to create safe and inclusive classrooms, but the discrimination doesn’t begin and end in schools. Use your voice to help those who aren’t heard.
Have Fun
Yes – you heard us right – just get out there and have fun. Pride Month is full of events like parades, marches, concerts, and more. Joining in on the celebration and rallying behind the LGBTQ+ community means more than you know. Find a list of events in your area here.
