Spring is finally here! As excited as we are to get outdoors, we owe our indoor space a little love too, right? For that reason, we’re gathering some inspiration from one of our go-to American (and eco-friendly, we might add) home decor brands – Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams – and dishing on three ways to give your home a much-deserved makeover.

Shape Up
Ninety-degree angles? So last year. One of the simplest ways to give your home a modern aesthetic is to play with shapes. Circular motifs. Reimagined chairs. Varying heights. All of these contrasting elements come together to create – oddly enough – a very balanced space. It’s as easy as adding an unexpected accent chair or a geometric piece of art to the wall.

Try Texture
You’ve spent hours rearranging your living room and no matter where you put that Insta-worthy coffee table or those trendy new throw pillows, it feels like something’s missing. What is it already?! It’s texture. A room lacking texture often falls flat. The good thing? Texture always means fun. Think faux fur–covered chairs or spring-ready rattan accents.

Rise & Shine
Your finishing touch? Metals. They help tie all of the mixing and matching together and act as a unifying element (no pun intended) throughout your space. Brightly polished metals – like gold – add glam, while more rustic metals – like copper – give your home a bohemian vibe.
