Vogue is known for going all out for their September issue. And for good reason – it’s the biggest magazine of the year. But in 2018, Anna Wintour went above and beyond. She hired Beyoncé as the cover star and creative director of the photoshoot. Queen B’s first order of business? Bringing in Tyler Mitchell as the photographer, which made him the first African American photographer to shoot the cover of Vogue. Her second order? Posing with her never-before-seen twins. We all know that whatever Bey touches turns to gold, and this issue was a prime example.
