Tory Burch: It’s easy to see how much of an impact she’s made on the fashion world. Without her, you wouldn’t have that leather tote you (literally) haul your whole life in. 2004

• Tory opens her flagship boutique in NoLita, a neighborhood in New York City. Most of the inventory sells out on the first day. We’re not surprised.

2005

• The company launches their website, Toryburch.com (and we freak out).

Oprah Winfrey calls the designer “the next big thing in fashion” on her famous TV show. Talk about the endorsement of the century.

2006

• Tory Burch invents the beloved “Reva” flat, named after her mom. You know them, and you definitely love them.

2008

• The Council of Fashion Designers of America names Tory the Accessory Designer of the Year. Her competition for the prestigious award? Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs. You go, girl.

2009

• The brand goes beyond fashion design, launching the Tory Burch Foundation. The aim? To give back and support other female entrepreneurs. Talk about empowering women.

2010

• Tory launches her first collection of sunglasses… and we take lots of #selfies.

2011

New York Fashion Week, here comes Tory. Her designs make their way down the runway for the first time, getting an incredible review from Vogue.

2014

• Our coffee-tables are graced with Tory’s book Tory Burch in Color, featuring everything from her designs to advice to her travels.

2015

• The brand launches Tory Sport“a collection inspired by the grace and strength of athletes, balancing high-tech functional fabrics with a classic/retro vibe.” (A.k.a. the only reason we join a gym).

Today

Tory Burch designs are sold at over 70 brick-and-mortar shops around the globe. Not to mention over 1,000 specialty and department stores. Basically, Tory is our queen.
