It started with the cold shoulder – just a peek of skin – and has somehow ended with one-shouldered sweaters. But in between, we became seriously starry-eyed over off-the-shoulder everything (think: flirty blouses, figure-flattering dresses, ruffled bikinis, and so on). Heck, you even voted it your favorite summer trend.

Now, it’s basically a wardrobe staple. But in the last few months, we really saw the glistening (often pleated) skirt trend take shape. Why? It looks as good with T-shirts as it does silky tops.
