So, you’re familiar with “All-Access Style,” our weekly Access Hollywood segment showcasing four must-haves at OMG-worthy prices. But there’s still a lot you don’t know about one of the hosts, Natalie Morales. This former Today show face has left the studios of NYC for the entertainment industry L.A. is known for. Below, she divulges her beauty mantra and red carpet faves (including the celebrity closet she wants to raid).
Rue Now: Describe your personal style in three words.
Natalie Morales: Casual, classic, and non-fussy.
RN: You just moved from NYC to L.A. How, if at all, has it affected your style?
NM: The great thing about L.A. is that it’s very casual and laid-back, so my style fits in pretty well here. I favor a tailored look with clean lines. Jeans and a structured blouse with a pair of heels is my go-to outfit for work or a casual night out. For fancier occasions, I look for dresses that are slim and fitted – I’m all about simplicity.
RN: Which fashion trend are you eager to try?
NM: I’m not all that into trends, but I am up for anything involving makeup or nails. Otherwise, I’m definitely more of a classic dresser.
RN: Which celebrity’s wardrobe would you want to raid?
NM: Blake Lively, Olivia Palermo, or Gwyneth Paltrow.
RN: Which closet staple can you not live without?
NM: Leather jackets, especially here in L.A. when it cools down at night. I have one in just about every color.
RN: What’s your on-screen beauty mantra?
NM: Less is more… I think too much makeup can be aging. I like a clean, elegant look. To me, a confident woman is beautiful, so I don’t like to hide behind a mask.
RN: Name your favorite red carpet look of the year.
NM: Emilia Clarke in Atelier Versace at the Emmys. She looked like a bubbly glass of champagne in that gorgeous and glittery pale-nude dress.
