3 Ways to Enjoy the Marriott Hotel Bourbon Experience

In a country where craft beer reigns supreme (hello, saturated market), another tipple trend is sweeping the nation: bourbon. The fastestgrowing spirit in the U.S., bourbon whiskey isnt just for Kentuckians anymore – reputable distilleries are popping up everywhere from Portland, Maine, to Portland, Oregon. Marriott Hotels has met this growing popularity head-on, launching a bourbon program that incorporates world-class spirits, signature cocktails, and a line of curated bar essentials available through Shop Marriott. How can you get in on the action? Here are three ways to enjoy.

Head to a Marriott Great Room Lobby Bar

As part of their extensive bourbon program, Marriott sent a group of bartenders to bourbon boot camp with the goal of expanding their knowledge of both the spirit and their craft as purveyors of delicious drinks. The hotels bartenders are now equipped with bourbon certification and are able to lead guests through tasting experiences at more than 250 properties. Well toast to that.

Craft Your Own Old Fashioned at Home

The Old Fashioned is the classic bourbon cocktail, combining the smooth flavors of bourbon with herbal bitters and the fresh aromas of rosemary and orange peel. Use Shop Marriotts elegant cut-glass Yarai mixing beaker to stir this timeless libation, then pour it over a single large, round ice cube for a drink that will stay cold a good long while. If you can resist it.
