Turtlenecks are back, and we’re embracing them with every freezing day. But along with all that coziness usually comes a tangled mess from the collar’s cling-factor. Cringe no more: We’re sharing three easy hairstyles that don’t end with an entire bottle of detangler. (Cue prayer-hands emoji.)
1. The Topknot
This easy updo is still going strong. Give your locks some undone texture by applying dry shampoo or texturizing spray from root to tip. Then, gather up your hair, twist, and loop for a perfectly imperfect bun.
2. The Loose Side Braid
Keep strands from slipping out by roughing them up with dry shampoo. Pull your locks to one side and weave a loose braid, securing it with an elastic. Then, gently pull at each section for a lived-in look.
3. The Sporty Ponytail
Make sure your pony sits right in the center at the back of your head. Perk it up with a hair bungee instead of a traditional elastic – it provides a much tighter hold – so it doesn’t droop as the day goes on.
